Vocal recording
Record singing, rap and spoken parts in a treated booth in Nakameguro with an engineer on the session. We organise takes and levels so your tracks are ready for mixing downstream.

Use this service when the voice is the focus: singles, chorus passes, demos, narration beds or podcast voiceovers tracked cleanly before you move to mix and master. Lefsenlayerco sits in Nakameguro, Tokyo, with 2 iso booths and a control room for talkback and monitoring.
Rates include the engineer: ¥13,200 per hour and ¥46,200 for a four-hour block, both VAT-inclusive at 10 percent. A 30 percent deposit confirms the date after you accept the quote. See Terms and conditions and the full service list for booking rules.

Who books vocal time
Solo artists finishing a release vocal, rappers locking album verses, bands overdubbing after a band session in the live room, songwriters needing a tidy demo, and creators recording narration for video or audio drama—all fit this booth workflow. The live room is about 38 square metres when you need drums and amps; vocals stay in iso for isolation.
If you want the full chain in one project plan, quote mixing and mastering separately. The studio opened in 2019 with 3 rooms and a 24-input console scale—details on About.
Booth and monitoring
Booths are ventilated and absorptive, with a window to the control room so you keep visual contact with the engineer. We pick large-diaphragm condensers or dynamics to match the material; shock mounts and pop filters are standard. The engineer checks takes on one of 2 nearfield pairs in the control room.
- Personal headphone mix with adjustable vocal level
- Talkback between takes
- Lyric stand and space for water
- No smoking anywhere in the building (studio rules)
How the session runs
Hours are Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–22:00; closed Monday and Sunday. Evening sessions by appointment.. Directions: About a 4-minute walk from Nakameguro Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line and Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line), toward Nakameguro koban. One block north of the Meguro River promenade.. 森川 健太 or another house engineer runs the desk. We usually confirm mic distance and pitch feel on a short section, then move to full passes and targeted punch-ins.
Backings and doubles land on clearly named tracks for whoever mixes—often our mix team or your external mixer. Light pitch correction or effect trials can happen on session if you ask, but detailed polish belongs in the mix stage. Take breaks whenever your voice needs it; a shorter productive block beats a strained marathon.
What to bring
Backing or karaoke WAV (guide vocal removed if possible), lyrics, BPM and key, plus two or three reference tracks for tone. Bring personal IEMs only if you already rely on them—we can usually match levels with house headphones.
See Prepare for a vocal session for a fuller checklist and simple voice-care tips. Send files to [email protected] beforehand or bring them on USB. Personal data handling follows our Privacy policy.
Delivery formats and retention
Default export is 24-bit, 48 kHz WAV aligned from bar one. We can match your project sample rate when stated upfront. You receive consolidated vocal files, optional per-take exports, and sometimes a quick rough mix if time allows.
Session data stays 12 months after final delivery or the last session, then is removed (file retention). Back up on your side promptly. Long-term archive storage is quoted separately.

FAQ
How long should I book for one song?
For a three- to four-minute track with lead and a few chorus layers, plan two to four hours including setup. Heavy doubles or ad-libs often fit the ¥46,200 half-day block better.
Can I bring only an instrumental?
Yes—WAV or pre-exported stems are ideal. Import time counts toward your session; sending files early helps (prep guide).
May someone sit in the control room?
One or two guests are usually fine. Larger groups can distract—mention it when booking. If a band session runs in the live room the same day, note the 7-person cap there.
What if I am sick on the session day?
Contact us early via 03-5724-8910 or [email protected]. More than 5 days out, cancellation or one move is free per Terms; closer dates may affect the 30 percent deposit.
Can you mix the song as well?
Yes. Mixing starts around ¥24,200 per track VAT-inclusive. We can also deliver clean vocals only for an external mixer.
